Bespoke Papercut Illustration

Bespoke papercut illustrations take everything that is important to you and your loved ones and transform them into a unique piece of papercut art.

As each piece is bespoke, they can be made entirely to your specifications, however there are patterns that have emerged over the years that Emma has been creating these pieces that can help you decide what you would like included:

To celebrate LOVE (Engagements, weddings, civil partnerships & anniversaries)

The couple (& children), venue, church, honeymoon destination, or special place, relevant flowers, home, pets, cake, couples hobbies and interests (sport team emblems etc) Flags or countries of importance to the couple. Some of these will not be relevant and there may well be items not listed that you wish to include – this is just a prompt and anything goes!

To celebrate FAMILY (birthdays, wedding anniversaries, retirement, new home)

Members of the family, pets, the family home, relevant places (countries of birth, holiday destinations etc) references to professions (for example; the scales of Justice or stethoscope) hobbies and interests of each of the family members (For example: sporting team emblems, bikes, golf clubs, books, wine bottles, baking implements, ballerinas) As above, the choice is yours!

As a different option, and popular for big birthdays and grandparents Emma has created magnificent family tree; large trees, with family names among the leaves and items relevant to the family around the trunk.

To celebrate an INDIVIDUAL (Retirement, birthday, Bar & Bat Mitzvah, Graduation)

These often centre on a silhouette of the person, who is surrounded by items representing the people and things they love. Hobbies and interests, relevant achievements (graduation cap, industry emblem) and sometimes a banner with a meaningful phrase or verse.

To celebrate a BUSINESS

These often centre on the building, surrounded by items and people that make the business a workplace of which to be proud (Items sold or made, crests or emblems, incorporation date)

There is, of course, always the option to be different and have a design that includes none of the above. Emma has created papercut art for children based on Alice in Wonderland, Rupert the bear and various Beatrix potter characters as well as designing silhouettes of Footballers for use on TV, amongst a huge array of other projects.

Our papercut illustrations have been given as gifts for engagements, anniversaries, retirement, big birthdays and weddings for a decade. We are proud to have a high percentage of repeat customers, who come back time and time again for special presents for loved ones and occasionally for themselves.

Our designer Emma will take your ideas, information and photographs and create a  bespoke design that captures the essence of your family. Once we have your approval of the design, it is cut from a single piece of 160gsm cartridge paper and framed floating in a white A3 (42×29.7cm) box frame.

Choose from our signature Daler Rowney Murano paper colour range for the background to your piece.

Due to the bespoke nature of this design your papercut will be shipped within 21 working days, however if you need your piece sooner please get in touch via the contact page and we will let you know if this is possible, we always try to accommodate shorter time frames when we can 🙂
